Hemodialysis is the process of filtering blood through a dialysis machine and removing accumulated toxins and extra water from the body ie When the natural machines of the body- kidneys fails, then artificial machines are used to clean the blood and body. HD may be requires in few cases of acute renal failure where the dialysis is temporary and patient is taken off hemodialysis once his kidney function improves.

When there is blood content in the urine followed by decreased urine quantity, it leads to Nephritic Syndrome. This syndrome also affects the blood flow towards the kidney leading to other complexities in the body. Kidney biopsy is required to identify the type and cause of nephriti syndrome and start specific treatment. Delay in treatment or improper treatment will cause major helath isuues including irreversible damage to kidneys and terminating in need for dialysis.

Renal transplant is offered to patients with advanced stage 5 CKD. It is the best mode of treatment available presently for advanced kidney disease. He/she needs to be on dialysis either hemodilayis or peritoneal dialysis till he gets kidney transplant done. A donor is required for a kidney transplantation. The patient can survive with a single kidney which is transplanted, and he will be off any form of dialysis.
