HD may be requires in few cases of acute renal failure where the dialysis is temporary and patient is taken off hemodialysis once his kidney function improves.

When the Glomerulonephritis occurs on it’s own, it is said to be primary Glomerulonephritis whereas if it is due to diseases like lupus or diabetes, it is termed as secondary glomerulonephritis. The treatment usually depends upon the type of glomerulonephritis for which kidney biopsy is required.
